The next treatment of Twin Islands Pond is scheduled for Thursday, August 8th, which will be the third of four treatments for the season.  You will see signs around the pond posted referring to the treatment when it happens.  The condition of the pond remains excellent, and everyone we talk to seems very pleased.

Although we don’t have a beach or recreational water contact on our pond, we decided to submit water samples to the Washtenaw County Health Department.  We took two samples, one from the north side and one from the south side. We are still waiting for the results, but expect both samples to come back negative, showing that we are free of E. coli.  We plan to periodically test, perhaps two or three times per season, just to be on the safe side. The process is pretty simple and just involves wading into the water a bit and collecting a sample.  We will let you know when the results show up.

Again, we would like to thank all the neighbors and friends of the pond who have provided input and contributed to the effort. Your support has made all this possible. We have nearly 100% participation but are still short of our goal to sustain treatments. If you have not yet contributed, please visit our website and consider helping out. You will find information on the home page at https://www.stonebridgeponds.com on ways to contribute.

If you missed the initial call or want to contribute more, it is not too late, please visit our website (https://www.stonebridgeponds.com), where you will find various ways to help out..

Thank you so much for your support,
