Treatments Update (6/11/2024)

We are happy to report that our first pond treatment was applied this morning by LakePro. You may have noticed the small boat traversing the perimeter, applying the chemical treatment. Thank you to those who were able to get checks to us early toward the cost, we really appreciate your support and trust in our efforts.

We have set set up three ways to make your contribution (Write a check, use PayPal or a direct electronic transfer using Zelle). As noted in previous mailings, we are hoping for a contribution of $500 from those residents directly on the pond. Please use one of these payment methods:

  • Write a Check: Make it payable to “The Friends of Stonebridge Ponds” and drop it off at the home of either Dave Hartmann or George Crane (see address below).
  • Visit PayPal: Use your credit card or PayPal account to make a contribution.
  • You can submit the funds directly to the bank by using Zelle. Use the email address of “[email protected].” To set up Zelle, go to Zelle Pay (https://www.zellepay.com/), which will guide you through connecting to your bank and setting up the payment.

Some of you have expressed frustration that treating the pond should be part of the Stonebridge Association’s responsibility. As we have mentioned in previous mailings, we are continuing to negotiate with the SCA, but an agreement did not appear possible for this season. Thus, we needed to take this year’s treatment into our own hands.

Thank you for your support.

Here is a short video of the treatment process which happened Tuesday, 6/11/24. LakePro went all the way around pond, carefully administering the treatment close to shore, then further out from shore. LakePro said it looked pretty good and and believes this treatment should work just fine. We should be able to see improvement in 1-2 weeks.
